WEATHER FORECAST: Prepare for a wild weekend

The winter storm watch issued Wednesday is no longer in effect.

The advisories from agency offices in Cleveland, Detroit, and North Webster, Ind., indicate varying amounts of snow from the storm late today and overnight, followed by change-overs to a wintry mix of snow, sleet, or freezing rain by Saturday.

Snow accumulations of two to four inches are possible.

Temperatures will creep into the low 40s by tomorrow afternoon.

Most of Thursday should be dry as well, although sunshine will probably give way to increasing cloudiness by afternoon.

Dylann Roof had hate-filled journal in car
Roof said in the video he considers himself a white nationalist and that he thinks the white race should be the dominant race. They have not contested that Roof was responsible for the killing, but they are trying to save him from the death penalty.

Friday's weather greatly depends on the storm track as well.

With extremely frigid temperatures in the rear-view, Region residents readied Friday for a snowstorm expected to begin about noon and change to sleet or freezing rain later in the night. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. There will be 15 units on the road and the material application will be completed by 8 a.m. Friday.

And up to one-tenth of an inch of ice could accumulate along with the snow, the advisory warns.

Arctic air is expected to return to the area Saturday night, bringing high winds, more snow and a possibility of flash-freeze conditions. New snow accumulation of around 3 inches. West wind 5 to 8 miles per hour. A southerly breeze will freshen Saturday night and temperatures will rise statewide. Winds could gust as high as 21 miles per hour. Southwest wind around 11 miles per hour becoming northwest in the afternoon. Wind chills are likely to reach -20 to -25 at times through Friday morning. Cold high pressure builds in for Monday and Tuesday, keeping highs near or below freezing and skies sunny.
