Ingenium turbo for Jaguar F-TYPE

Jaguar has made the price of entry to its F-Type coupe and convertible range more accessible than ever before thanks to the introduction of a new four-cylinder variant for both body styles. It becomes the company's most powerful four-cylinder yet and produces 221kW at 5500rpm and 400Nm at 1500rpm-4500rpm.

A switchable sports exhaust is reserved for F-Type R-Sport four-cylinder, however, while Jaguar's "e-diff" torque vectoring system (previously reserved for the V6 S models) is now available with the reduced cylinder count.

In terms of engine, the new entry-level auto is now a four-cylinder engine, offering 2.0-litres in capacity and turbo-charged to produce 300PS (295bhp). The design prevents exhaust gas pulsation interference, ensuring that the turbine wheel responds far more quickly: boost pressure is delivered near-instantaneously, making turbo lag nearly non-existent, providing the responsiveness so familiar to the F-TYPE driving experience. The result is a zero-to-60 miles per hour time of 5.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 155 miles per hour. With the majority of the mass reduction located over the front axle, vehicle dynamics and weight distribution has been improved by a shift of one percent to the rear. The design of the bumpers and air intakes (but not the grille) now helps differentiate between the various versions of the F-Type, from the new four-cylinder model up to the SVR. The perspective buyers can also choose between the existing V6 and V8 engines.

The new four-cylinder F-Type is set to arrive in Australia from the fourth quarter of 2017, with further pricing and specifications to be announced closer to launch.

West 'Forced' Russia to Veto UN Security Council's Syria Resolution - Moscow
Trump said it was "certainly possible" though "probably unlikely". Putin met with Tillerson in Moscow on Wednesday. Russian Federation condemned the U.S. action.

The pairing of Jaguar's all-aluminium two-seat sports vehicle with the advanced 300ps 2.0-litre engine sees the latest F-TYPE fitted with the most powerful 2.0-litre engine Jaguar has put into production.

Aside from the looks the new F-type will also deliver a completely different experience in terms of sound.

With 148bhp per litre, it actually has the highest specific power output of the F-type range, and with 295lb ft of torque spread from 1500 to 4500rpm it should offer plenty of in-gear shove. This means than the F-Type in 300hp suit should be priced even lower than that level when sales start later this year, although punters must be content with the inferior on-paper performance figures the front-engined Jag concedes to the mid-engined Porsche. This new camera will work with lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive speed limiter and emergency braking systems.
