Bill Murray to join cellist for music and spoken word tour

The Ghostbusters star is working with cellist Jan Vogler to create New Worlds with a chamber music ensemble, according to the New York Times. The program supposedly includes Murray singing songs from West Side Story, and reading the works of Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. He's accompanied by musical contributions from Vogler's trio, which features Mira Wang on violin and Vanessa Perez on piano, including pieces by Schubert, Bach and Piazzolla.

Bill Murray appeared to go off on another one of his larks when he teamed up with The Late Show's Paul Shaffer on a cheerful new tune that will be out for Record Store Day.

The project dates back to early 2013, when Vogler and Murray were sitting across from each other on a flight from Berlin to NY.

Bill Murray, the man who once sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the style of Daffy Duck, is gearing up to release an album of classical music.

Canada glacier melt rerouted in rare case of 'river piracy'
Kluane Lake, fueled by its waters, was so low that the residents had difficulty putting their boats into the water. That's never been seen before on this scale - and the speed of it equates to a geological instant.

Bill Murray is an enigmatic celebrity presence, with a beyond-successful acting career and with fan encounters abounding of hilarious encounters with the Hollywood legend ("No one will ever believe you").

It is reported that the live show will "explore themes of American history and identity". The album is expected to be out sometime in August.

"We are from four different continents", he said.

Murray plans to tour North American to promote the project after a launch at the Festival Napa Valley in California on 20 July (17). "It's just a short journey from one continent to the other", he told the New York Times.
