At a press junket for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", which Pratt is also part of, he was asked by Screen Rant about "Jurassic World 2".

Plot details on the upcoming sequel are scarce but both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be returning as Owen and Claire as the franchise continues the storyline of weaponized dinosaurs introduced in Jurassic World.

"Aw man, J.A. Bayona?"

Bayona himself has previously echoed Pratt's thoughts in an interview past year, during promotion for his film A Monster Calls.

'He's a remarkable filmmaker, ' he gushed. "If you havent seen "The Impossible" or "A Monster Calls", I mean he's really visually masterful", said Pratt. "Deep emotions and suspense", Pratt remarked.

Speaking about the movie's plot, Pratt teased, "I think it's going to be a scarier version".

Trevorrow also confirmed this rumor by sharing a photo of a few dinosaur eggs recently on Twitter.

"Jurassic Park is very dark; it's very scary".

Director Colin Trevorrow had previously refrained from commenting, saying: "I'm not sure I want to answer because the speculation is so much fun. We're going to go back there".

Filming of the sequel is now in the works, with Pratt reprising his role as Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady. New cast members include James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda.

Bayona said something similar in an interview with Digital Spy past year, during promotion for his film A Monster Calls.

"I think one of the reasons they called me is they wanted to go darker and scarier", he told Digital Spy.
