"My client is obviously saddened by the loss of his friend Aaron Hernandez", Army said in a statement on Monday, via WBZ, the CBS affiliate in Boston.

Just weeks before hanging himself in his prison cell, ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez reportedly wrote a letter to a friend and fellow inmate joking that he was considering suicide.

"Sometime in the near future he personally will discuss the relationship", Army said of his client, Kennedy, disappointing a room full of press that had been promised a description of the relationship after days of speculation.

"Aaron had told him that arrangements would be made for that gift to be sent to him when he was on the outside, or, alternatively, from a member of his inner circle to be delivered to my client's family", Army said. One was allegedly penned to Hernandez's fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez; another to their 4-year-old daughter, Avielle; and the last to Kennedy. Hernandez was found dead in his cell on April 19 at 3:03 a.m., inmates at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center had told investigators that ex Patriots star may have been high on K2 the morning he killed himself. Just before Hernandez was buried this week, a judge in MA ruled that authorities would have to turn over copies of the notes to Hernandez's fiancee. Army asserted that Hernandez meant to leave a $47,000 watch to his client. Kyle Kennedy, a jailhouse friend of Aaron Hernandez said prison officials denied the former National Football League star's request for a cellmate months before he hanged himself. Army said Baez should release a copy of the letter so they can determine if it was for Kennedy.

Army has requested the suicide note be turned over to his client, who has not yet seen it.

The rest of the letter was private, Army said.

Internet firms winding up for a fight on 'net neutrality'
Pai has been a critic of the FCC's approach to net neutrality, in which internet providers were classified as common carriers. And he has floated the idea privately to various companies and groups that could be affected by that change in policy.

Lawyers for Jenkins Hernandez and Ward asked Thursday that the name of the potential buyer of the home be kept sealed. "My client believes that that may be because the letter was written in accordance with language typically used behind the walls of a jail".

The child molestation conviction of former Roman Catholic priest John Geoghan, a key figure in the clergy sex abuse scandal that rocked the Boston archdiocese, was dismissed after he was beaten to death in prison in 2003.

But Hernandez's attorney, Jose Baez, tells PEOPLE that the third letter was not for Kennedy, and that the speculation of a jailhouse lover was untrue.

Kennedy later issued a statement of his own through his lawyer's spokesman. Army said he and Hernandez knew each other before that time, but would not elaborate. "This is a private matter that doesn't concern them", he said.

The mother of Odin Lloyd, whom Hernandez was convicted of killing in 2013, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit to seek proceeds from the sale of the home.
