For the 19th consecutive season the Western Washington University men's golf team has been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships. Six teams and three individuals will advance from each regional.

The Hoyas were selected as the No. 16 seed for the NCAA Regional in Lubbock, Texas, which will run from May 8-10.

The women's golf team will compete at the Lubbock Regional hosted by Texas Tech.

A year ago, Prendergast became the Rams' first NCAA Regionals participant since 2012. She has taken five teams to NCAA nationals, including last season when she was the head coach at Furman.
