Anthony Joshua stops Wladimir Klitschko with a knockout at Wembley

ANTHONY JOSHUA: KLITSCHKO VICTORY DOESN'T TOP WINNING OLYMPIC GOLD

Joshua produced the performance of his career to stop his Ukrainian counterpart with an enthralling knockout in front of a record 90,000 audience at the Wembley Stadium.

The Briton wobbled Klitschko with a left before landing a series of clubbing blows, including a cracking right uppercut, which sent the Ukrainian to the canvas.

The bell for the 11th saw Joshua rejuvenated, a attractive uppercut teeing up the first knockdown, then a left hook sending Klitschko down again - only for the Ukrainian to show huge heart to drag himself off the canvas.

Joshua now boasts a flawless 19-0 record following his win, with all of his victories coming inside the distance.

As he publicly thanked his trainers, and the audience, he also saluted his opponent.

"I know he's been talking a lot [but] I want to give the fans another chance to see an unforgettable night out at boxing".

Before last night, Tyson Fury was the last man to beat Klitschko. But that was never going to be a problem. Even a rematch with Klitschko would be a fun fight.

The uncle said this to ace sports journalist Colin Udoh who went to cover a massive viewing party that was held for Joshua's big fight in Sagamu.

"It's up to him, I don't mind". I'm learning under the bright lights.

Griffin Barry was awarded $10,000 today for calling 911 to tip off police about Tad Cummins and Elizabeth Thomas. His daughter was found safe with her teacher last week at a cabin in a remote part of Northern California .

"I'm coming back to Wembley". I knew it was going to be tough for him, because I wanted to do the same.

"At the end of the day, I figured out what I had to do and got him done".

Klitschko does have a rematch clause to face Joshua for a second time but whether he exercises the option, opts to retire from boxing or seeks another challenge remains to be seen.

There were no excuses and no tantrums from Klitschko.

If the fight was one of the best heavyweight bouts in recent times, the fifth round was one for the ages.

"The best man won tonight".

"I tried to recover and then step it up in the later rounds, that was the plan". But congratulations to Anthony, he got up, he fought back, and he won the titles. As I'm thinking about the fight and it's still fresh, I'm actually taking down notes of little things of how I can improve. Anthony was better today than I. It's really sad that I didn't make it tonight.

He now takes his record to 19 wins in 19 fights.

The best man won tonight and it's an unbelievable event for boxing. I want to tell Rob (McCracken, my trainer): 'What do you think about working on this when I get back to the gym?'
