Draft Haul Suggests Steelers Adhered To Edict To Improve Red-Zone Offense

Watt, was a converted tight end for the Badgers and garnered Second Team All-American honors in 2016.

James Conner won't have to do much. Watt was available for the Steelers was awesome. As of right now I would expect Conner to get every chance to be Bell's back-up. I know Owen had him late first-early second, and a few other draft analysts were torn between "absolutely" and some still skeptical. But at the end of an offseason in which the Steelers lost Lawrence Timmons, a staple of the last decade at the position, to the Miami Dolphins, Timmons wasn't replaced in the draft.

The Steelers waited to address their biggest need, the secondary, until the third round when selecting Cameron Sutton from Tennessee.

The next player picked up the Steelers were puzzling to say the least. Watt fits well in Pittsburgh's 3-4 scheme, is tenacious and has loads of potential. The Steelers have not had success recently drafting corners.

In what Colbert described as Timmons' first true trip through free agency, the Dolphins offered him a two-year, $12 million contract with $11 million guaranteed.

In death dive, Cassini snaps Earth within Saturn's rings
The spacecraft will make similar manoeuvres during its subsequent dives, the next of which is scheduled for Tuesday. He said Cassini had "shot through the gap just as we planned and has come out the other side in excellent shape".

Jack Ham and Jack Lambert are inner-circle Steelers all-timers, just as critical to Chuck Noll's teams as Greene and L.C. Greenwood.

Of course, we can't forget about the reinstatement of Martavis Bryant at wide receiver and the impact that he will have in making the Steelers' offense in the red zone more dynamic. Still, it is somewhat surprising the team chose to address their receiving situation before selecting a cornerback.

Conner, the former Pitt star running back who captivated college football with his recovery from Hodgkin's lymphoma, was at a Buffalo Wild Wings in his hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania, when he got the call. Conner scored 56 touchdowns in only 39 collegiate games. But since the Steelers do need a third option at quarterback, Dobbs is not a bad choice.

Dupree is already training for a breakout year in 2017. He's been training with former National Football League defensive end, Chuck Smith, and is turning his speed advantage into an all-around pass rush most teams won't be able to stop.

The Steelers also selected Louisville long snapper Colin Holba in the sixth round. There are already some solid choices in the depth chart for Pittsburgh at the outside linebacker position and even more players that are expected to take their performances up another level this year so Adams has a tough job on his hands to make the final roster. "Most of the time, we forget about intangibles when we draft, then later on a guy comes in and does better than anybody expected him to do".
