Milwaukee Bucks blow out Toronto Raptors for 2-1 series lead

The Raptors played with more poise that at any moment during Game 3, and led by as many as nine points before taking a 64-58 advantage into the fourth in front of a frantic capacity crowd of 18,717 fans at BMO Harris Bradley Center. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greg Monroe each finished with 14 points for the Bucks, who shot 37 percent from the field.

During the 2014-2015 NBA Playoffs, Lowry played quality minutes for a decent Toronto Raptors squad, and he was able to post 17.8 points per game (ppg), 4.7 rebounds per game (rpg), 6.8 assists per game (apg), and 1.6 steals per game (spg) on 41.2 percent shooting from the field.

The Bucks' motto is "Fear the Deer", and the hard-charging Bucks, with a young starting lineup that includes two rookies and a 22-year-old star in Antetokounmpo, had the Raptors running scared from the opening tip-off. Thon Maker had 11 points, while Malcolm Brogdon added four points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Wright drained a three-pointer two seconds before the break, and the Raptors trudged into halftime down 57-30 - just four points shy of their biggest halftime deficit in playoff history (31 points past year in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against Cleveland).

Powell played just 14 minutes in Game 3 and shot 4-of-8 from the floor. We haven't done anything and (we) understand that and we understand they're going to be desperate.

"We have been through some bad games before, bad times before, great times before, and he is always that guy who stays on that same level and you appreciate that".

At once riding the energy of the crowd and giving it something to cheer about, Milwaukee - a team that feeds off emotion and gets amped up for the biggest games - raced out to a 9-2 lead, forcing a Toronto timeout that would prove utterly futile to solving any of its portending problems.

Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey yells during the first half of Game 4 of an NBA first-round playoff series basketball game against the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Milwaukee. He also had four of the team's 13 first-half turnovers after the Bucks had averaged 10 turnovers a game in the playoffs against Toronto. Toronto All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan missed all eight of his field-goal attempts, with that fact qualifying as one of the most impressive qualities of Milwaukee's solid victory. The team had their own individual drives that led them to play that way. Each team made 5 three-pointers, too. Does this DeRozan show up, or the score-only guard who went 0-for-8 in Game 3?

MPs call for 'whole-school approach' to tackling mental health problems
But it'll be under the social investment category, rather than health. The month of May is used to help people understand how common it is.

"I thought (Valanciunas) handled it really well", Casey said.

The Raptors didn't, but they might as well have. What if Milwaukee makes counter-adjustments to take away Toronto's comfort zone in Game 5?

Trading shoves and in the paint and hand-checks on the perimeter, the Bucks matched the Raptors' rise in defensive intensity with Toronto desperate to tie the series going back to Canada.

In the second half, Ibaka was getting an astonishing number of open shots, but couldn't get them to fall. The series is now tied at two games apiece.

"The time will come when we will get back out on there on the court but in the meantime try not to go insane in two days of waiting", DeRozan said.

The mid-range and long-range shots the Bucks gave up simply weren't made by Toronto shooters.

Still, either way you feel about it, the Raptors and Bucks have a brand new series.
