Timeless TV show on NBC season 2 renewal NBC reverses cancelation

Days after NBC announced that it would not be moving forward with a second season of its fan-favorite drama Timeless, series creator Eric Kripke took to Twitter to reveal that NBC has reversed its decision to pull the plug on the show - but there is a slight twist to the Timeless cancellation tale. He also confirmed that Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes.

The Time Team has done it again!

True to form for a time travel adventure show, the clock has been turned back and NBC's Timeless has been saved from cancelation.

The renewal will not leave fans of the show hanging as Ryan and Kripke went with a Season 1 finale that ended in a cliffhanger and set up a second season.

Mets says Harvey will return to mound Friday at Milwaukee
Harvey claims that he played golf until early in the afternoon on Saturday, when he came down with a strong headache. Harvey did go to the park on Sunday when he was scheduled to pitch, but was advised of the suspension at that time.

This is incredible news for fans who have rallied behind the canceled show.

An NBC rep says fan outcry played a factor in the decision, but per The Hollywood Reporter and others, producer Sony's offer of "the lion's share" of profits from the show helped too. Starring Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett, viewers followed the trio of time travelers as they worked to save time and history. "Can't wait to show you more". So yeah, we've got more episodes coming. According to Screen Rant, although "Timeless" did much better with an average rating of 2.0 compared to the other show's 1.5, NBC has chose to renew "Taken" for another season as it is cheaper to produce. It's glorious news, and it's also a testament to the massive support base who fought to keep the show alive after the news first broke of NBC dropping the guillotine on it.
