Miss USA 2017 Judges

A new Miss USA will be crowned Sunday during the two-hour event taking place in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.

There will of course be a special appearance by last year's victor Miss USA Deshauna Barber, who will be on hand to crown her successor.

Contestants from Minnesota, New Jersey, Missouri, Tennessee, California, District of Columbia, South Carolina, New York, Illinois and Alaska will continue on in the beauty pageant.

The District of Columbia has won back-to-back Miss USA titles. Being the daughter of a now retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, she lived in several cities and countries such as Japan, South Korea, Sicily and Hawaii.

The pageant included five women who immigrated to the children.

McCullough, who represented the District of Columbia in the decades-old pageant, was born in Naples, Italy, and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

McCullough will now be representing US in the Miss Universe contest, date of which has not yet been announced.

Chelsea beats Middlesbrough, one win away from EPL title
We are showing that we deserve to win the league. "Obviously I haven't played every game but I've played in the last 20 matches". Monday saw Conte's Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 3-0 in a very lopsided defeat that was of major effect for the opposition as well.

The runner-up was Miss New Jersey Chhavi Verg.

In one of her final answers, McCullough said she believed health care is a privilege - an answer many on Twitter took issue with.

"And I say firsthand I have witnessed the impact that women have in leadership in the medical sciences as well as in the office environment, so as Miss USA, I would hope to promote that kind of leadership responsibility globally to so many women worldwide", McCullough added. Her first winter she did not have a winter coat and the family struggled to adjust.

The contestants' remarks stand in stark contrast to the scandal that enveloped the pageant in 2015, when then-part owner and now U.S. President Donald Trump offended Hispanics when he made anti-immigrant remarks in announcing his bid for the White House.

Grammy Award-winner Pitbull and CMA Award-winner Brett Eldredge will perform.

Julianne Hough, Terrence J, and Ashley Graham hosted the program.

On the other hand, Chhavi was asked, "Do you feel that social media is ultimately a positive or a negative platform?" and her answer was praised by several, as she quoted Spider-Man.
