Explosion, 'a number of fatalities' reported at Ariana Grande concert in England

Manchester Arena, the largest indoor arena in Europe, opened in 1995 and has a capacity for 21,000 people, according to its website.

Eighteen-year-old Georgina Callander was the first confirmed victim of the terror attack.

The explosion led to mass panic among concertgoers and is being treated as a terrorist attack "until police know otherwise", the Manchester Police reported on Twitter.

The pop star's fan base skews young, and there were children among the 22 killed, authorities said.

Saffie is the second victim to be named in the attack on the Manchester Arena where U.S. pop star Ariana Grande had been performing.

Runshaw College in Leyland, Lancashire, said that the young girl was on the second year of her health and social care course, and was a former student at Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy.

The Greater Manchester Police have revealed that an arrest has been made in connection to the incident, which left 22 dead in addition to the bomber and 59 injured.

Sonam Kapoor, who is now in Cannes felt really angry and heartbroken by this incident and wrote, "I'm so angry and heartbroken at the state of the world".

Police say the attack was carried out by one man, who died in the blast.

Monday's incident could mark the deadliest terrorist attack in England since the London subway bombings in 2005, which killed 52.

Sources tell CBS News the attacker has been identified as 23-year-old Salman Abedi.

"She was at the concert, she'd just seen the support act and said she was having an fantastic time and thanking me for letting her go".

Grande said she was "broken" and "so so sorry".

Several people present said that "there was no explosion but rather a loud bang, which created a stampede and people were injured trying to get out of the facility", reports TMZ.

"We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act", the statement continues. Words can not express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack.
