Federal politicians are expressing worries and calling for changes after CityNews in Montreal was the first to reveal that notorious serial killer Karla Homolka has been volunteering at the Montreal school her children attend.

At the time, Homolka told investigators that she was husband Paul Bernardo's unwilling accomplice to the crimes. She split from Bernardo while in prison and was released in 2005, after which she married her lawyer's brother, and had a baby boy.

Montreal's City News reported Homolka has volunteered with Greaves Adventist Academy, including supervising a field trip.

"Parents think that's a huge mistake.that the school should never have let her in, even for a few minutes", he said. Parents told the Montreal Gazette on Wednesday that Homolka has been seen in the schoolyard with her dog, allowing the children to pet it. Homolka was also permitted into school to show off her dog to the students, and she came into a class to instruct students about knitting.

"How would you feel knowing that your child is interacting with a person who is a serial killer?" said one parent to the publication.

French, who was 15 at the time, was abducted by the couple while walking home from school in 1992 and held captive for three days before she was murdered. Homolka held a drug-soaked cloth over her sister's mouth as she and Bernardo sexually assaulted her. I told my daughter: 'This lady, I don't want you to go near her please.

Listen to Arcade Fire's unbelievable new song, 'Everything Now'
The album was produced by Arcade Fire , Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter , and Steve Mackey , with co-production by Markus Dravs. Arcade Fire last released an album in 2013 with Reflektor , which included singles "Afterlife" and "We Exist".

The school board knew of Holmolka's past as all volunteers undergo criminal background checks, a statement said.

During the trial, Homolka accused Bernardo of abusing her and claimed that he forced her to murder the teen girls.

Holmolka saw her sentence reduced to 12 years when she pleaded to manslaughter charges and testified against her ex-husband. But she reportedly declined to speak.

The school has since issued a statement on the matter: "The Quebec Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the administration of Greaves Adventist Academy are committed to providing quality education and enriching learning experiences to its students".

Danson said he's convinced Homolka was never rehabilitated and shouldn't be allowed to work with children.

When approached, she tried to shield her face from reporters and stated: "I don't have nothing to say". He was declared a "dangerous offender", which made him unlikely to be released from prison, and so it baffles his victims' families why he had a parole hearing date set.
