Hundreds march in USA demanding Trump investigation

Organizers dubbed it the "March for Truth" protesting alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

Comey, who was sacked by President Donald Trump, will be presenting his side of the story to senators in both an open and a closed session. Others displayed posters calling for swift investigations into the Trump team, or calling on the president to release his tax returns.

"So we want to thank all those who support Agent Orange for coming to our rally today because we welcome all", she said in front of a crowd of onlookers.

"Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress need to know that we won't let this issue get swept under the rug", Sean Eldridge, founder and president of Stand Up America, one of the March's organizational partners, said in a statement.

Demonstrators on Saturday called for an independent investigation into the Trump administration's alleged ties to Russian Federation and for President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.

Americans in more than 130 cities took to the streets Saturday in a "March for Truth", aimed at forcing an independent investigation of President Donald Trump and the ties between Russian Federation and his campaign and associates.

Trump lashes out at leaks, considers staff upheaval
But Kelly said such back-channel communications don't bother him and would not be harmful to US security interests. He added that it is "very possible that those sources don't exist but are made up by fake news writers".

Supporters of President Donald Trump also gathered in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to show support for his decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

As 1010 WINS' Roger Stern reports, the topic weighed heavily on the minds of the people at New York City's march at Foley Square.

Trump said his decision to back out was to support American workers.

Besides the special counsel designated by the Justice Department to investigate Russia's attempt to interfere in the United States elections, the protest organisers demand the creation of an independent commission like the one that investigated the September 11, 2001 attacks against the US. Other signs were more cheeky, including one that said "Super Callous Fascist Racist Extra Braggadocious".

The rallying in Washington on the National Mall is being held within blocks of a pro-Trump rally outside of the White House.
