Speaking after laying flowers on Borough High Street, Ms Campbell said she had felt "sick" when she learned about Saturday's attack.

"There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better".

After all, the performance was being live-streamed across the world so will.i.am could have been addressing London.

English pop group Take That, who couldn't perform at Manchester Arena due to the bombings, shall also be a part of the tribute concert.

The show will be broadcast across the globe and proceeds will go to an emergency fund set up by the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross.

Seven people were killed and 48 were injured in that attack.

He also teamed up with Miley Cyrus for a rendition of his uplifting Happy after telling the Manchester crowd, "I don't feel or smell or hear or see any fear in this building".

Robbie Williams led the thousands inside the venue in a chorus of: "Manchester, we're strong, we're strong, we're strong".

'I love you guys so much.

New Order rocker Peter Hook, whose daughter was hospitalised in the attack and attended One Love Manchester, told the BBC, "As a musician the last thing you ever want to do is have something like that happen at a concert where you feel ultimately responsible and I think she's done a fantastic job".

Towards the end, Grande got emotional as she sang a heartbreaking version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to close out her benefit gig.

"No matter how many hit songs she had, and no matter how incredible her concerts were - and he was always the first one there, applauding, kissing her, being in the front row - after every show, he would say, 'Ariana you know what song you have to sing?"

Grande posted on Instagram about the visit, showing her chatting with a young girl in the hospital. "But because of you we can now represent through this as a world wide community that we will be ready, we will be fearless we will be great and we will honor our children".
