Jamie Murray became the first Brit to win the Aegon Championships doubles title since Jeremy Bates in 1990 on Sunday.

But last night, with regular partner Bruno Soares, Jamie became the first British victor of the Queens Club doubles title since Jamie Bates in 1990, when they beat France's Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in front of a watching Judy, 6-2.

World number one Andy Murray has pulled out of his first exhibition match at Hurlingham Club with a sore hip.

Murray is still expected to play on Friday before he begins the defence of his Wimbledon title on 3 July. "Of course it helps that we have a good relationship as we spend all our days together".

Both have enjoyed success at Wimbledon, with Jamie winning the mixed doubles back in 2007 and Andy a two-time victor in the singles.

Mali tourist resort under attack from gunmen
In March the same year, a grenade and gun attack on La Terrasse nightclub in Bamako killed five people, including foreigners. The spokesman said the attack was ongoing at Le Campement resort in Dougourakoro, to the east of the capital Bamako .

"Andy didn't play so well but we've been a bit spoilt with him over the years", Jamie said with a smile.

Mother Judy had said yesterday that one day she was "sure" the pair would team up together in the doubles at SW19, like they have on the tour, in the Davis Cup and the Olympics, but never at a Grand Slam.

"I imagine when he starts to get a bit older and his level drops off a bit, we might have a go in the doubles one day".

Jamie Murray was talking to Reuters as a part of IBM's technology event ahead of next week's Wimbledon.
