Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Jessi Rice said Tuesday that a person of interest had been taken into custody at a Tulsa- area apartment complex, but she said she couldn't provide the individual's name and that investigators were questioning the person. "About injuries was not reported", - said in the message.

Mandy Vavrinak, a spokeswoman for the Bixby police, said the explosion occurred in a largely commercial and retail area near the border of Tulsa and Bixby, which she described as an "affluent suburban community".

A United States Air Force recruiting office near Tulsa, Oklahoma was bombed on Monday evening. As of yet, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has not labeled the crime as act of domestic terrorism. They believe it may have been a pipe bomb.

We can confirm that we have taken into custody a person of interest in regard to the bombing at the USAF Recruiting Center last night.

"That government vehicle looks lovely setting outside that office in tulsa". "The reason they did it at night probably shows that they wanted to hide".

Federal officials are questioning a suspect regarding an explosion at an Air Force recruitment base southeast of Tulsa.

Nearby stores were open as usual on Tuesday. Law enforcement agents are reportedly following up on the potential lead.

The explosion had damaged the door of the building. "So it depends on what route it goes, whether it's terrorism or criminal related, that will determine what kind of charges will be pressed".

FBI Special Agent Jessi Rice told reporters that the FBI is taking the matter very seriously, calling it a "hit on the military", during a press conference.
