Philadelphia Eagles: CB Ronald Darby now a member of the Birds

Well the Eagles have a made a move to get cornerback

The Buffalo Bills have traded Sammy Watkins and a 2018 sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for E.J Gaines and 2018 second-round pick, the teams announced on Friday.

Just as a quick reminder, you may recall reading something here on Blasting News about whether #Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews was on the trading block. Buffalo now owns six picks in the first three rounds of the 2018 draft - one in each round. In his three years with the Bills, the former Clemson product has hauled in 153 passes for 2,459 yards and 17 touchdowns. Of course, even a down year for Matthews was 73 receptions, 804 yards and 3 touchdowns, so he'll likely continue to produce regardless. He has 137 tackles, 33 pass deflections and 2 interceptions in 29 games. However, Watkins was hobbled over the 2016 season with a foot injury.

Darby, who finished second in voting for defensive rookie of the year in 2015, had two years remaining on his contract. Matthews has been the one constant for the Eagles the last three years, and with so many new faces, Matthews was a source of familiarity. Darby was considered their top cornerback on the depth chart.

Getting a player back with two years left on his contract allowed the Eagles to pull the trigger.

At the same time, Tillerson added that Moscow's move would affect the US Department of State's work in Russian Federation .

The Bills originally had the ninth overall selection but, traded up to fourth with the Cleveland Browns to select Watkins. But Webster's familiarity with Wade Phillips' system - Webster played on Phillips' Broncos defenses these last two years - gave him an advantage and ultimately won him the job.

"When you get them and you need a bunch of them, it's something that we felt as well with the quarterback, offensive line, defensive line, you can never have enough of those guys".

Before we get into Darby and what he brings to the Eagles, let's talk about what the Eagles are losing in Matthews. I'll tell you right now, he ran away from people at the Senior Bowl.
