Syracuse native Tom Cruise appears to have injured himself while filming a stunt for his next "Mission: Impossible" sequel.

He has been filming characteristically unsafe scenes in Paris, where he rode a motorbike into a vehicle before flying through the air, and Oxfordshire, where Cruise was photographed parachuting at the beginning of the month.

A video posted on YouTube shows the star landing hard in a building-to-building jump on the London set of the film and limping after getting to his feet.

In Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Cruise filmed a sequence as he hung from A400 plane in mid-air.

Cruise is famous for performing most of his own movie stunts.

He then was pulled back to the scaffolding as a crew member went to assist him, removing the safety rope and briefly holding Cruise's hand as he steadied himself and limped away.

Cruise is connected to wires at the time, so there was likely no real risk of a fall during the stunt.

The extent of the injuries Cruise sustained this weekend isn't clear at the time of writing, but by the looks of the video, he suffered quite a bit of pain. "I want to keep audiences on the edge of their seats".

Chief Christopher McQuarrie is returning for the 6th portion of the establishment, which is set to hit theaters July 27, 2018. The film will also star Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Alec Baldwin.
