Ric Flair's Fiancee Says WWE Legend Has “Multiple Organ Problems”

His fiancée, Wendy Barlow, is credited with writing a private Facebook post that says she is the one who took him to the hospital late Friday with severe abdominal pain. "Not to go into too many details, but I want everyone to know he still needs prayers, as he is still in critical condition".

She went on reveal that Flair underwent surgery, but specifically denied rumors of that it was on his colon. "Thanks for all of the support and love".

There were reports that Flair was dealing with heart-related issues, but after the surgery Monday, Zanoni stated that was not the case.

"Out of respect for family privacy there has not been an official Ric Flair update, which has led to false information", Flair's manager, Melinda Zanoni of Legacy Talent, said in a statement.

SummerSlam main event star Samoa Joe tweeted: "My thoughts and prayers are with Ric Flair and his family during this hard time".

The professional wrestling world has been sending its thoughts and prayers to a legend over the last week as he fights through surgery and organ problems.

As we previously reported, Flair was hospitalized on August 12 and a few days later he was put into a medically-induced coma to undergo surgery. Zanoni said the surgery involved "tough medical issues" and was a success. However, Melinda also acknowledged the wrestling star still faces a "long road ahead".

His fame has endured a decade after his heyday, in part because his glitzy, jewelry-wearing persona was embraced by a younger generation of rappers.

As a result, he has experienced a resurgence in popularity since retiring a decade ago.
