There will be one significant holdout, however, as Rob Gronkowski isn't expected to play.

Remember when New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had the jersey he wore during the Patriots' incredible Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons stolen after the game?

In addition to Burkhead's breakout performance on the drive, other highlights of the first half included Stephen Gostkowski's two field goals from 38 and 51 yards, the last of which gave the Patriots their 13-10 lead at the half. After New England's field goal made it 16-10, Houston's Watson orchestrated a drive that went 75 yards on five plays and ended with Watson rushing the ball into the endzone himself. Being the second game on the preseason schedule, Saturday night's tilt had a little more of a real football feel to it with most of the New England starters seeing some action against the Texans.

If anyone needed a boost of confidence this weekend, it was Cyrus Jones. The team announced that Roberts sustained a rib injury and would not return. But on the negative side, Jones chose to catch a punt deep in Patriots territory late in the first half that pinned the Patriots at their own 9. Coincidentally, the game will be held in Houston where the Patriots won Super Bowl LI in February.

Grace Mugabe seeks immunity in S Africa assault case
Amid confusion over the case and investigation, police say the abortive court hearing was meant to obtain a statement from Mugabe. Reports also indicate that she is still in South Africa despite earlier indications that she had returned to Zimbabwe .

Houston was outstanding as drives went on, holding the Patriots to just seven conversions on their 15 third down attempts. The first play was completed to Cody Hollister, who couldn't come down in bounds in the end zone. "But we got the ball back down there and we punched it in and that's all we can ask for".

On New England's second possession, the Patriots got a break on the first play, a pass from Brady to receiver Chris Hogan. Alfred Morris, who also figures to see action during Elliott's suspension, had nine carries for 49 yards. It was again Cunningham getting burned in coverage for the Texans.

Garoppolo said after the game that he was trying to throw the ball away but just didn't get enough on it.

And Garoppolo's displeasure was clear on the field. He appeared to be in significant pain, hunched over after taking a blow to his ribs on a 63-yard catch-and-run reception by running back D'Onta Foreman.
