If you're in the market for an Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular in the U.S., it will cost you $10 a month for service on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

The new Apple Watch Series 3 can stream music via Apple Music and make phone calls without having to have an iPhone paired to it for the first time.

The new Apple Watch Series 3 comes in two styles: One with a cellular connection and one without. In terms of colours, it will be available in gold, silver, space grey, and ceramic grey.

The price of the previous-generation Apple TV box falls to $149 for 32GB of storage. The new chipset is also the reason that Siri can now talk on the Apple Watch as well. And yes, the Face ID can be used on Apple Pay.

It will hit stores in the United Kingdom on 22 September, available on the EE network, and can be preordered through the Apple Store on 15 September.

You should get about 10 hours of audio playback with the Series 3, which is nearly twice what you get with the Series 1, which Apple is still selling. One of its biggest new features however is the updated Heart Rate app for more detailed monitoring, including measurements during resting, workout, recovery, walking and Breathe sessions, a feature introduced as part of the Series 2 to add a mindfulness aspect to health.

Yes, Siri can finally speak back to you from your wrist.

That's all changed with the Apple Watch Series 3, as it now has its own barometric altimeter, which means all of your gruelling hilly rides will be captured in all their glory. It uses your phone's connection while you are nearby, but as soon as you are away with your iPhone, it still works well.

Also, crucially, although most TVs these days include streaming apps, a lot of them suffer from a level of support that is questionable at best.

The Watch Series 3 base model is priced at $329.

Preorders for the new watch begin on September 15, with delivery beginning on September 22.

In the midst of the hype around the iPhones launched by Apple at its event on Tuesday, the company also released the next version of their smartwatch, Series 3.

With a 50 per cent year-on-year growth the Apple Watch is now the world's best selling watch, outperforming the likes of Rolex and Fossil.

"Far from being a flash in the pan, smartwatches are bound to stay and continue to upgrade their functionality - the recently announced new Apple Watch is a case in point", said Luca Solca, an analyst at Exane BNP Paribas.

The other big software change is Apple's TV app, and the latest version will be available in the United Kingdom on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad by the end of the year.

"Apple Watch Series 3 combined with the power of watchOS 4 is the ultimate device for a healthy life".

Just as its predecessors, the Series 3 lasts up to 18 hours on a single charge. The only difference is an extra 0.25mm thickness to the rear crystal bump (which is pretty much unnoticeable) and, for the cellular version, a red digital crown.
