The ruling comes a day after the duke and duchess announced they are expecting their third child together.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased that the court has found in their favour and the matter is now closed".

After giving a speech on the effects mental health can have on first responders, an audience member spoke up and congratulated Prince William on the news of the baby.

The 32-year-old royal revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge was doing "ok" as she continues to battle Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a form of acute morning sickness that has afflicted all of her previous pregnancies. Prince William and Kate Middleton also have tow children, 3-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte.

The third pregnancy of Kate Middleton is no exception to the rule.
