Tillerson on North Korea: Diplomacy will continue 'until the first bomb drops'

Last month, Mr Trump told Mr Tillerson not to waste time seeking talks with Kim Jong-un.

Tillerson denied Trump was undermining him on the global stage, after outspoken Republican senator and Trump critic Bob Corker accused the president of seeking to "castrate" his Secretary of State.

Tillerson told a news conference in Beijing two weeks ago that the U.S. was directly communicating with North Korea on its nuclear and missile programs, but it had shown no interest in dialogue.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Sunday denied that Donald Trump's threat to tear up the Iran nuclear deal had weakened America's chance of reining in North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile drive through diplomacy.

Jake Tapper asked Secretary of State Rex Tillerson this morning rather directly if he did, in fact, call President Trump a moron.

"Those diplomatic efforts will continue until the first bomb drops", Tillerson said on CNN's "State of the Union".

"I am fully committed to his objectives", Tillerson continued. "At the end of the day, he makes decisions".

Pam Bondi really doesn't want OJ Simpson to serve parole in Florida
Simpson played football in his youth for the University of Southern California, then went on to play in the NFL from 1969 to 1979. Moreover, if Simpson seeks to leave Nevada , the Division of Parole and Probation will require him a written permission.

"No, sir. He has made it clear to me to continue my diplomatic efforts", Tillerson said.

"The president is simply trying to do that in his very unique style, and he is very unique", Tillerson said, adding he agrees with the president's objectives and was there to help him achieve those.

"The president speaks for himself", Tillerson said at the time.

"I will work as hard as I can to implement his decisions successfully". Tillerson, meanwhile, is said to have grown tired of Trump contradicting his public pronouncements and of becoming increasingly isolated in a capital to which he has never warmed. Several top officials, including Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and chief of staff John Kelly are helping "separate our country from chaos", Corker said earlier this month.

"And I can tell you who is going to win", Trump told Forbes magazine.

The president was also angry with Tillerson's remarks after Trump declared there were "fine people" on both sides of the clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia, between white supremacists and anti-racist demonstrators that left one person dead, according to two people familiar with the Trump's beliefs but not authorized to discuss private conversations.
