At least 6 killed 22 injured in Quetta blast

Earlier today, at least seven people, including five security personnel, were martyred as an explosion ripped through a police truck in Quetta.

The bomb went off as a truck carrying 35 police personnel was passing the area. Bugti said a forensic team and the Bomb Disposal Squad had been called to the site to investigate the nature of the blast.

Baluchistan's Interior Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, said the first investigations point to a vehicle bomb, but he said it is too early to say for sure.

Hospital authorities stated that seven dead bodies had been brought to the hospital, three of which belonged to police officials and the remaining 22 injured people were also shifted to the Civil Hospital.

Police and FC troops have reached the area, which has been cordoned off for gathering evidence. Rescue teams transferred the injured to the nearby Civil Hospital and Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where an emergency was declared.

Sylvester Stallone to direct 'Creed 2'
Representatives for MGM, which produced the film, and Coogler have not yet responded to Vanity Fair's request for comment. While 10 years have passed since he last helmed a " Rocky " film, it's unlikely that Stallone has lost his touch.

According to police, the blast was a suicide attack and around 50 kilogrammes of explosive was used in the blast.

In the drive-by shooting, two men on a motorcycle shot and killed police inspector Abdus Salam as he was on his way to work. "We will continue the war against these terrorists and we will defeat them".

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri strongly condemned the attack, adding that such attack could not discourage the security officials from fighting the terrorism. "Balochistan is on the forefront of this fight and we will not stop until there is not a single terrorist left in the area", Bugti said.

The loss of precious lives in terrorist attack in #Quetta is regrettable & highly condemnable. Balochistan has faced many such attacks in recent months, with security personnel in the province often being targeted in roadside explosions and suicide attacks.
