Misty Spann, 26, will spend 10 years on probation for illegally marrying her mother, 44-year-old Patricia Spann, who is identified as Patricia Clayton on their marriage license application, filed in March 2016, online records show.

District Judge Ken Graham, according to court minutes, gave Misty Span a deferred sentence of 10 years, at least two of which must be under the supervision of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

The marriage between the mother-daughter duo came to light only recently during an inquiry by a state Department of Human Services child welfare investigator.

Spann married her mother, Patricia Ann Spann, last year. The young woman claimed Patricia told her she had received legal advice about whether they could get hitched and assured Misty it could happen.

Patricia Spann reportedly told the investigator that she had lost custody of her three children, including Misty Spann, when they were children, but she reconnected with them in 2014.

Mother Spann allegedly told cops she didn't think the twosome broke any laws - because she was no longer listed as a parent on Misty's birth certificate.

She affirmed President Donald Trump's stance that there was "no collusion" between his campaign and Russian Federation . That doesn't have anything to do with the campaign or the campaign's activities", she said.

The 44-year-old also got married to her son in 2008 in Comanche County, however he filed for an annulment after 15 months.

This is not the first time she has married one of her children, officials said. Patricia told officers about her history with her children as well as her current relationship, not realising what she was saying was incriminating.

In Oklahoma, incest is a felony, and if convicted, is punishable up to 10 years in prison. The two eventually married, but when the family returned to Oklahoma, everyone learned the truth: that they were related.

Misty's mother, Patricia, is scheduled to appear in court in January.

The marriage was annulled October 12 after Misty filed for an annulment "by reason of illegality and fraud", She said her mother told her she had received legal advice indicating that their marriage was legal because Patricia's name was no longer on Misty's birth certificate.
