Both Iraq and Lebanon were represented at the meeting by senior diplomats, not their foreign ministers. He reportedly alleged that "Iran's biggest arm in the region at the moment is the terrorist [Hizballah] arm".

Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas rejected on Monday an Arab League resolution labelling Lebanon´s Hezbollah a terrorist organisation. He alleged, "Iranian threats have gone beyond all limits and pushed the region into a risky abyss".

"Showing leniency toward Iran will not leave any Arab capital safe from those ballistic missiles", he said. He said that Arab League was not asking the Security Council to meet, but they were "just briefing the council and maybe the next stage would be for us to meet and call for a Security Council meeting and submit a draft Arab resolution [against Iran]".

Saudi Arabia, through its foreign minister, asked fellow Arab nations to take a "serious and honest" stand against Iranian "aggression" and "meddling" in the internal affairs of Arab countries. He said that the group has not sent ballistic missiles, advanced weapons "or even a pistol" to Yemen, Bahrain, or Kuwait — the countries where the group is accused of supporting government critics. The Syrian government, backed by Russian Federation and Iran, was replaced by the pro-rebel Syrian National Coalition in the Arab League in 2013, but the Syrian seat was again vacated in 2014.

Once that official declaration came, Hezbollah would reassess its presence in Iraq and may pull its members out.

Iran "supplied the Houthi militias with all types of weapons ... which enabled them to overrun the country's capital and on their way detonate residences, schools, places of worship and public and private facilities", Abdul-Malik Al-Mekhlafi said. The trilateral foreign ministers meeting was discussing the issues related to Syrian situation.
