Founder and largest shareholder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos has not only become the richest person in the world, but also touched the Dollars 100 billion-mark for the first time, according to a Bloomberg report.

It was gathered that Bezos' fortune went up $2.4 billion to $100.3 billion, as the online retailer's shares jumped more than 2 percent on optimism for Black Friday sales.

On Friday alone, Bezos made nearly $2.4 billion.

American entrepreneur, Jeff Bezos, who is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of and owner of "The Washington Post", is now worth $100 billion, further securing his title as the world's richest man. Bill Gates, who is now worth $86.8 billion, would be worth approximately $150 billion if he had not given approximately 700 million Microsoft Corp. shares and $2.9 billion in cash to charity since 1996. Due to Amazon's profitable success this year, brought on in part by the merger with grocer Whole Foods, Bezos shot to the top of Bloomberg's index. The stock got a lift from reports that online shopping on Thanksgiving and Black Friday jumped 18% compared with a year ago.

Scott Walker on Roy Moore allegations: 'I don't know if it's true'
He threatened to sue the Post over the weekend and said the allegations were a smear campaign by his political opponents. In tears, Nelson said in NY that when she was 16, Moore offered her a ride home from the restaurant where she worked.

Bezos' unprecedented explosion in wealth is impressive, but somewhat damaged by his reputation for not giving to charity as much as his peers, like Gates and Warren Buffet.

Gates, who now has a net worth of $86.8 billion, is estimated to have had a net worth of $150 billion had he not given so much of his fortune to charity. In July, Bezos' net worth was $90.6 billion.

He tweeted a request for ideas about how to help people in June of this year, and since 2002 he has given away Amazon shares totalling about $500 million (£374m) at current prices.

In addition to the Amazon, this bald-headed man also has about $3 billion worth of shares in the rocket company, Blue Origin.
