As per reports from Khyber Teaching Hospital, three bodies and 17 wounded were brought to the medical facility.

One injured student, Ahteshan ul-Haq, said the university hostel normally houses almost 400 students, but at the time of the attack most students were gone for a holiday weekend and only 120 students remained.

At least two explosions have been heard from inside the campus., one was confirmed by SSP Khan while speaking to The Express Tribune.

Thirteen people were injured in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Friday when terrorists stormed an agricultural training centre and opened fire in an attack claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The KP police said that all terrorists were neutralised after a successful clearance operation by the security forces.

The area where the incident occurred is a hub for educational institutions in the city including the University of Peshawar.

Pakistan media Geo news reported that three attackers, with their faces covered, entered the Directorate, located next to the University of Agriculture, and started firing. The institute hostel was officially closed on Friday due to the celebrations of Eid Miladun Nabi.

Numerous students staying at the complex had returned home for a holiday weekend to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

Mehsud said six students, a security guard and two civilians were killed in the attack.

A gunbattle continued between forces and the attackers for over an hour and the Pakistan Army successfully killed all the terrorists.

An eyewitness said, "We were sleeping when we heard gunshots".

In December 2014, Pakistani Taliban gunmen killed 134 children at Peshawar's Army Public School, one of the single deadliest attacks in the country's history. Peshawar, close to the Afghan border, has seen some of the worst violence during the Taliban insurgency in recent years.
