Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson is now publicly defending himself against allegations of rape that appeared in a victim's protection order Tuesday morning.

In the protecting order filing, the woman said she was drinking at a bar on November 16 when she met Anderson. She said she planned to take an Uber home to her apartment until Anderson's friends were "insistent" that she let the football star take her home.

The woman said that this past weekend, through a conversation with a friend, she started "recalling images and feelings of him forcing his fingers" inside her and biting her.

A victim protective order hearing has been scheduled for December 18, online records show. The Sooners play Georgia in the Rose Bowl on January 1.

In the statement, Chance said the woman filed the protective order after she had attempted to pursue a relationship with Anderson and Anderson "declined several social invitations" from the woman.

Rodney Anderson was named the All Greater Houston offensive player of the year in January 2015 as a member of the Katy High School football team.

A spokeswoman for the Justice Department said that "we are aware of the allegation and are taking any and all appropriate steps". Several other Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and officials from the Justice Department also attended.

Under Oklahoma law, emergency protective orders are typically granted if a court finds good cause "to protect the victim from immediate and present danger of domestic abuse, stalking, or harassment".

The Associated Press does not identify people who say they have been sexually assaulted without their permission to publish their name.

A University of Oklahoma spokesman said that the university is investigating the matter.

A lawyer representing Anderson called the allegation false and sais Anderson "will be exonerated of any wrongdoing".

Anderson, a redshirt sophomore, is Oklahoma's leading rusher with 960 yards and 11 touchdowns. Oklahoma plays Georgia in a national semifinal on January 1.

In a statement, Anderson's attorney Derek Chance vehemently denied the allegations. This season, Anderson assumed the spot in the Sooners' backfield previously held by Joe Mixon, who was suspended for the entire 2014 season after he punched a woman at a Norman restaurant.
