Star Wars fans-the reactions are in.

The force was in downtown Los Angeles Saturday night for the world premiere of the highly-anticipated eighth installment of the "Star Wars" franchise, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". They range from the greatest Star Wars movie ever (OMG!), to better than Empire Strikes back to the exceptional, but not quite as good as Empire.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will open in New Zealand cinemas on December 14.

Sutton also criticised Arsenal's defence. "I feel the waste of time becomes a real problem in England", he said. "You can not keep players happy, but they deal well with it and it's a problem we all have to deal with".

While smaller films can get a potential box office boost from a Globes nod, Disney and Lucasfilm clearly believe that, when it comes to Star Wars, the franchise has ample Force on its own, thanks very much. One specific thing that has been of note is Mark Hamill's performance as Luke Skywalker, which some have called award-worthy.

Fisher, who died last December, makes her final appearance in "The Last Jedi", and the movie is reportedly dedicated to her.

Directed by Rian Johnson, the film has not been without its troubles: there were script rewrites and reshoots, not to mention the tragic death of Carrie Fisher at the end of past year while filming was still underway. "I hope they like it", he said.

"When you're trying to survive, the First Order's right on top of us, it is like war, where you've got to keep moving to try to survive".
