Royal fiancee Meghan Markle shuts down social media accounts

Former actress Meghan Markle has deleted her social media accounts as she prepares to Wednesday Prince Harry.

Their arrival was marked by an explosion of camera flashes from a large phalanx of photographers and TV cameras, as Markle, 36, smiled, waved, and blew a kiss to wellwishers outside Pop Brixton, a community project that houses independent local businesses, start-ups, new restaurants and the not-for-profit radio station in shipping containers. Markle will join the foundation after she marries Harry.

The pair arrived in the January cold with Meghan wrapped up in a grey woollen coat from Smythe and a Jigsaw scarf.

Thomas Markle will take his place beside Harry's bride-to-be before the wedding ceremony begins, according to Meghan's half-sister Samantha.

During the visit, Harry practised a fist-bump handshake and the couple donned headphones as presenter Gloria Beyi, 17, was on air.

But Meghan Markle didn't start life as a royal.
