1000 teens face child porn charges after sharing video of 15-year-old couple in sex act on Facebook

More than 1,000 youth in Denmark are to be charged with spreading sex videos of two 15-year-olds through Facebook, Danish police said on Monday, in the nation's largest case of its kind.

For offenders over the age of 18, distributing child pornography could land them in jail for up to six years.

The videos were shared through Facebook's Messenger app.

After the cases were settled two years ago, Facebook has registered several divisions of the same videos until the autumn of 2017, according to Ritzau. "Not least because of the large number of people charged", said police inspector Lau Thygesen.

The case involves around 800 males and 200 females, a lot of them between the ages of 15 and 20.

Facebook tipped off the USA authorities, who notified police in Denmark.

Wenger struggles for answers after "very frustrating" Bournemouth loss
The Gunners then had to wait until the 35th minute to threaten again, Begovic using his feet to deny Danny Welbeck one-on-one. Bournemouth had their second of the day soon afterwards when a long ball forward picked out Wilson in the Arsenal box.

'We have taken this case very seriously, as the sharing of this material has major implications for those involved, and it must be stopped'.

Either of those punishments would give them a criminal record lasting for up to a decade, police have said. In a statement, they said the penalty violating Section 235 of the criminal code - which covers child pornography - will be "tough".

According to police, only a handful had distributed it several hundred times, whereas most of those charged had only shared it a few times. It can have consequences for the victims and also for those distributing.

Kjaerside said: "It can also cause problems with entry into the United States". North Sea Police then launched a co-ordinated investigation with Copenhagen authorities and the National Cyber Crime Center under the operation name, Umbrella.

The charges followed an extensive, co-ordinated police effort that dates back to March 2015, when the video was widely shared online and gained national attention as "one of the worst sexual violations recorded on camera in Denmark".

Police have promised that they will not go easy on the people who shared the illegal footage.
