The "pro-active" strategy in the aftermath of the 2016 Uri terror attack will continue as the Indian Army has dominated Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, a top commander of the force said on Wednesday.

"Instead of the knee-jerk reaction of blaming Pakistan without substantiation, India must answer for state-sponsored espionage against Pakistan", he said.

Without specifically referring to any terrorist incident by Pakistan-based groups, Coats told the lawmakers that he expects tension between the two Asian neighbours. "People from Bihar won't!" "Till when will our jawans and civilians keep dying?"

Despite being a coalition partner with hardliner Bharatiya Janta Party, India-held Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Monday took a bold step and stressed the need for Pak-India bilateral talks on Kashmir.

"We are confident that the world community would take due cognizance of India's smear campaign against Pakistan, and the deliberate creation of war hysteria", a statement said. "I can only assure the people of J&K and the entire country that the Army, both the governments at the state and the centre, are definitely looking at it with all seriousness", she had added.

Three terrorists were also killed by the security forces.

But they warned that similar protests in the future would be treated as acts of violence under new criteria. Mabel Au, director of Amnesty International Hong Kong , said the court had corrected an injustice.

Responding to a question regarding the comments of the Indian defense minister, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman regretted that Indian leveled allegations against Pakistan without sharing any evidence.

The heavily-armed militants tried to strike the CRPF camp, located very close to SMHS Hospital from where Lashkar- e-Taiba militant Naveed Jutt alias Abu Hanzala was freed from police custody by terrorists on February 6.

Meanwhile, the Army continued its search operation on Monday, three days after the daring attack by suspected JeM terrorists on its Sunjuwan camp in Jammu. "Intelligence inputs show that terrorists were controlled by their handlers from across border.Evidence being scrutinised by NIA. The fourth terrorist must have been a guide and may not have entered the Camp area", Sitharaman said. "The evidence has been scrutinised by National Investigation Agency who shall soon furnish a detailed report".

She said Pakistan was expanding "an arc of terror to the areas south of the Pir Panchal ranges and resorting to ceasefire violations to assist the infiltration".

Minister for Defence Khurram Dastgir on Tuesday warned India that their adventures will be "met with an equal and proportionate response". It will have to be proved over and over again that they are responsible.
