Inclusion Rider Explained: Frances McDormand Calls for Action at Oscars

It was no surprise when Frances McDormand won the Best Actress award at this year's Oscars for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, but her speech brought the audience to its feet - literally.

McDormand's speech wasn't' the only memorable occasion that advocated for diversity. "I just found out about this last week, ' she said".

"Cheers darling", McDormand says then offers the I, Tonya star a sip of her tequila. "I think is what Chloe Kim must have felt like after doing back-to-back 1080s in the Olympic half-pipe". But the real message followed.

Authorities say the Oscar was allegedly stolen during the Governors Ball after party. Who wants to tell me congratulations? McDormand replies before she walks away.

"Look around, everybody. Look around, ladies and gentlemen", McDormand said.

Comcast bids $31 billion for Sky TV, undermining Fox
Comcast's $31 billion bid to buy United Kingdom broadcaster Sky is not just an attempt to thwart Disney or to expand globally. If 21st Century Fox wished to counter Comcast's offer, it would likely need approval from Disney .

It was otherwise a relatively uneventful show, however, and early ratings for ABC's telecast showed the U.S. audience at an all-time low of 26.5 million, down around a fifth from last year's audience of 32.9 million, also hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. "This is mine. We got it tonight, baby".

We did some checking and it turns out the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences owns the hardware. despite the fact the statue was bestowed on Frances and even engraved with her name.

The phrase "inclusion rider" was coined by Stacy Smith, director of the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative for the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Security were searching for the accolade which luckily already had her name engraved on it and hours later McDormand's representative Simon Halls confirmed the Academy Award victor had been reunited with the accolade.
