Train service was again suspended on Friday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where two militants were killed in an encounter by security forces at Balhama Khanmoh area in the night-long operation.

A senior police officer told GNS that the BJP leader Mohammad Anwar Khan along with his two PSOs was sacked upon by the militants at Balhama near Arash Medical College and tried to snatch service rifles from them.

Security personnel immediately surrounded the village and a gunfight started there.

Additional security forces were rushed and entire area was sealed to foil any militant attempt to escape.
