Karen McDougal, former Playboy Playmate who grew up in MI is suing the company who bought the rights to her story about an alleged affair with President Donald Trump, according to The New York Times.

McDougal is asking the court to declare the agreement null and void, saying that she was tricked into signing it; that it was meant to illegally influence the 2016 election; and that it violates public policy against using threats of legal action to get someone to stay silent on issues of public concern.

But when she began talking to ABC News, AMI returned to her with the $150,000 payment for the goal of buying her story, "but it would not publish the story" because of Pecker's relationship with Trump, according to the lawsuit.

She claims Davidson told her AMI would give her $150K, 43 percent of it he would keep, and also give her a lucrative contract that would give her fitness columns and magazine covers in AMI's empire.

McDougal claims that the Enquirer swooped in with a $150,000 deal while she was considering telling her story to ABC News in the summer of 2016.

According to The New York Times, David J. Pecker, the CEO of American Media Inc., is close friends with President Trump and worked diligently to buy her silence via a legal agreement. McDougal didn't seek "hush money" from Trump, but rather thought she was selling her story to the Enquirer for $100k and future appearances in the publication.

AMI told the New York Times that it spoke with Cohen about McDougal's story, but only while trying to fact-check her story. The fitness model claims that AMI then turned around and wanted to purchase her story about her alleged affair with Trump after all.

Package Bomb Explodes at Schertz Facility
Instead, this bomb was left on the side of the road in the upscale Travis Country neighborhood of southwest Austin . Texas suffered another explosive attack late on Sunday night following four others this month.

"AMI lied to me, made empty promises, and repeatedly intimidated and manipulated me", McDougal said in a statement.

McDougal's 23-page lawsuit comes on the heels of efforts by adult film star Stormy Daniels to get out of a similar hush agreement.

"She will no longer be quiet".

"The lawsuit filed today aims to restore her right to her own voice", he said, adding, "We intend to invalidate the so-called contract that American Media Inc. imposed on Karen so she can move forward with the private life she deserves".

McDougal realized that she's been duped just before election day in 2016, when the Wall Street Journal wrote about her AMI contract.

Law&Crime reached out to Davidson and A.M.I. for comment, but they have not responded. The model also said she felt like she could not so much as mention Trump's name after she was paid for her story.

The president has denied both affairs, and his legal team is demanding $20 million in damages from Daniels for breaking an NDA over an affair Trump says never happened.
