A decomposed body discovered in a shallow grave in Northern California is believed to be that of a missing young Hollywood model and aspiring actress, Adea Shabani, police announced Tuesday.

"We believe that those remains are the body of Adea Shabani", Hayes said.

After she was reported missing, authorities said Spotz released a statement saying he traveled with Shabani to Northern California.

Discrepancies in Spotz's alibi raised warning bells but he disappeared before police could track him down for further questioning.

During the investigation into Shabani's disappearance, Hayes said Spotz and his fiancee drove from Los Angeles to her parents' home in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

The announcement came just a day before the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and their coroner's division discovered the human remains of a woman buried in a shallow grave in the Spenceville Wildlife Area in Penn Valley, California, about 430 miles away from where she was last seen in Los Angeles, California on Feb 23.

Through an attorney, Spotz told detectives that he and Shabani left Los Angeles on February 23 on a road trip to Spotz's father's house in northern California. The CHP said Spotz was driving a stolen pickup. Investigators weren't able to verify Spotz's account, he said, prompting Robbery-Homicide detectives to take over the case.

Shurmur met with Beckham in Los Angeles earlier in the offseason when the coach went to California to visit college prospects. But after that, the Giants would say a Beckham trade " probably won't happen ".

LAPD and sheriff's office investigators, along with anthropologists from Cal State Chico, responded to the scene and found the remains. Her mother flew out from Macedonia as friends canvassed the area in a frantic and desperate search. Security camera footage last caught Shabani leaving her apartment with Spotz.

"At this point in time, we believe that those remains are the body of Miss".

The source said the two were romantically linked, although a friend of Spotz who spoke with KTLA Monday night said he was unaware of a romantic relationship between them. Meanwhile, detectives and sheriff's volunteers fanned out across the Lake of the Woods wildlife area, looking for any sign of Shabani.

Shabani was a student at Stella Adler Academy of Acting, located in the heart of Hollywood, across the street from where the Oscars are held.

Authorities have not indicated that Spotz is involved in Shabani's disappearance. "He was whatever you needed at that moment".

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800, or 877-527-3247 during non-business hours or on weekends.
