"An air ambulance is now waiting outside Alder Hey Hospital ready to take Alfie to hospital in Italy".

While medical professionals have been unable to identify Evans' exact brain condition, they said he remains in a "semi-vegetative state".

"Last night Mr Justice Hayden ordered that Alfie can not be removed from Alder Hey Children's Hospital pending the hearing before the Court of Appeal on Monday".

The High Court had ruled in February that Alder Hey Children's Hospital could stop providing life support for Alfie and his parents have subsequently lost several challenges to this decision.

But a doctor treating Alfie, who can not be named for legal reasons, said that for Alfie to be allowed home would require a "sea change" in attitude from the child's family, and they feared that in the "worst case" they would try to take the boy overseas. His parents wanted to take him out of the country for treatment, but British courts overrode their decision.

Responding tonight, a tired Tom said: "I've got an uncle that could just do everything that the nurses do down to a tee and he's medically trained to do this so I'm just going to keep on fighting for Alfie". "Well, look at him now. They left him for six hours without food, water and oxygen".

The High Court judge ruled that Evans was a United Kingdom citizen, and the Italian citizenship did not change anything.

Alfie's parents have clashed with the hospital over what should happen to their boy.

If Alfie can't leave the United Kingdom, attorneys for his parents say they want Italian doctors to be able to come to Britain to evaluate and treat Alfie. He's now on oxygen.

Maroney has also previously stated that USA Gymnastics in particular tried to keep her quiet about the abuse . Larry Nassar , a former team USA Gymnastics doctor, pleaded guilty in November 2017 to sexual assault.

Unfortunately, Justice Anthony Hayden has now determined that Evans is not entitled to additional medical care.

Mr Justice Hayden dismissed the appeal on Monday night, however, he is scheduled to oversee another hearing in relation to the case in court this afternoon.

On Monday, the Italian foreign ministry announced it had granted Alfie Italian citizenship to facilitate his arrival and transport. According to his father, doctors eventually gave Alfie water and supplemental oxygen, but the child has not been given nutrition for almost a day.

The Christian Legal Centre, which represents Alfie's parents, notes the efforts that the Italian embassy has made to save the child.

Pope Francis has been praying for the British toddler Alfie Evans - and the Italian government has granted the child Italian citizenship and lined up a transportation plan that could swiftly bring the sick little boy to a Vatican hospital.

Alfie's supporters who include bishops, members of parliament, and other prominent figures, have dubbed themselves "Alfie's Army" to spread awareness and to provide encouragement for the family.

Alfie was born on May 9 2016, but suffered seizures and was taken to hospital in December that year. "No privacy or nothing!"

"I don't think it's helpful to use emotive terms". They said that they wouldn't discuss confidential details about Alfie's medical condition, but that British doctors' guidelines call for ending treatment if the treatment is either unlikely to extend the child's life "much longer", or might prolong life "but will cause the child unacceptable pain and suffering".

The judge, however, ruled that this would not be within his best interest and he would not be allowed to travel to Rome or Munich, where another hospital had offered to treat him.
