Cricket Australia (CA) said it was continuing discussions with the BCCI with a view to playing their first day-night test in Adelaide from December 6-10.

Adelaide Oval will host the first Test match in the coming summer's cricket schedule but will miss out on global matches over the Australia Day weekend. And Australia still have some of the finest pace bowlers around such as Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood and Pat Cummins.

BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary reportedly spoke in favor of the twilight Test last week, saying he had consulted the team management, selectors and the office bearers over the issue. The idea was to host a day/night Test back in 2016. "And that's why there is a proposal to convert one of the two Test matches against the West Indies later this year to a day/night Test".

CA boss James Sutherland even said they were optimistic about hosting the twilight Test and that they would be engaging in talks with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over the situation.

CA announced the schedule of Australia's home summer on Monday without confirming a start time for the Adelaide Test.

Adelaide has hosted four Day-Night Tests so far in the last three years - against New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and England - and are still hoping to stage another match under lights against India.

He fills a need along the defensive line, where the Chiefs will have several players now ticketed to be free agents next season. The trade gives the Chiefs the 46th pick and the 100th pick, and in exchange, the Bengals get the 54th pick and the 78th pick.

Cricket Australia (CA) is eager to host India for day-night test match at Adelaide this year, after releasing their worldwide playing schedule on Monday. The Proteas lost by seven wickets.

Australia will take on arch rivals India at the 60,000-seat venue in the second Test from December 14-18.

The day test match will commence on Friday 1st of February and will be the second and final test of the two-game series against Sri Lanka.

The number one ranked Australian women's cricket team will officially open the 2018-19 Canberra's summer of cricket on the 5th of October as part of the Commonwealth Bank Women's Series.

"The Gabba was that once and I'm sure it will be again. there's nothing to say that in the future the first test of an Ashes series won't continue to be at the Gabba".
