"Avengers: Infinity War" Continues to Dominate

There are way too many superheroes to list in Avengers Infinity War

Infinity War hit the $1 billion mark on Saturday, in a record-breaking 11 days. The Marvel movie is still riding high on great reviews and its "A" CinemaScore, and the final figures definitely show that.

Avengers: Infinity War is no exception on that front. However, Solo, the upcoming Han Solo movie, is tracking for a $170 million+ opening weekend, which could set a new box office records itself. Not long ago, it was "Black Panther", but things have changed as the film crowded with superheroes became the fastest movie to hit $1 billion globally. Aside from Infinity War's opening weekend, its drop from weekend to weekend has remained consistently around 30 percent.

"Avengers: Infinity War" put another album that weekend, even destroying the box office contest and drumming up $1 billion more rapidly than every other film onto those novels. The film stars Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez as unlikely lovers, and was produced by MGM and Pantelion Films, a Lionsgate-backed production company aimed at Latino audiences.

The top 10 is rounded out by Tully ($3.18 million), Black Panther ($3.14 million), Truth or Dare ($1.88 million), Super Troopers 2 ($1.81 million) and Bad Samaritan ($3.9 million).

Hollywood's summer movie season typically runs from the first weekend in May through Labor Day, but this year got a jump-start with the late April release of "Avengers: Infinity War".

In third spot was Paramount's sci-fi horror film "A Quiet Place", at $7.6 million.

"I Feel Pretty", $4.9 million ($3.2 million international).

Colin Furze's channel is very popular, having over 5.9 million subscribers, and consists of the British inventor constructing various objects from pop culture media.

While the three newcomers going up against Avengers: Infinity War weren't expected to provide any sort of meaningful competition, one did fare far better than expected.
