The University says they were expecting approximately 130 students this fall.

Saudi Arabia has cut diplomatic ties with Canada, expelled the Canadian ambassador, frozen trade and investment between Riyadh and Ottawa and halted flights to and from Canada.

"Canada stands together with the Badawi family in this hard time", she tweeted on Friday, referring to the jailed women's rights activist, "and we continue to strongly call for the release of both Raif and Samar Badawi".

All of this, according to the country's foreign ministry, is because of what it considers "overt and blatant interference" in the country's internal affairs.

The Saudi Arabian regime triggered a sell off of Canadian assets on Tuesday morning, amid an escalating row between the two nations over human rights.

Spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a press statement that his country stands firm in support of the stability and sovereignty of Arab countries, stressing the necessity of complying with the worldwide norms and conventions governing relations between countries and respecting their sovereignty.
