Charles Harder on Case for Trump's Omarosa Lawsuit

Manigault Newman's firing by White House chief of staff John Kelly- and her apparent audio taping of the encounter- is at the center of the political firestorm

On Tuesday's "Morning Joe", co-host Joe Scarborough went on an extended rant excoriating President Trump for calling ex-White House advisor Omarosa Manigault Newman a "dog" on Twitter. She commented just hours after Trump's campaign announced it was filing an arbitration action against her, alleging that she violated a secrecy agreement.

On Monday, Manigault Newman released another recording in which Trump appeared to express surprise that she had been fired. The claim accuses the former staffer of violating an agreement she signed before joining the 2016 campaign, in which she reportedly promised not to disparage Trump or disclose proprietary information. She also declined to discuss details of her interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's office, which she confirmed in a separate interview Tuesday.

The President also has been accused of calling some women "fat pigs" and "dogs", though Trump has defended his treatment of women and denied multiple sexual misconduct claims against him.

"Correction from today's briefing: Jobs numbers for Pres Trump and Pres Obama were correct, but the time frame for Pres Obama wasn't", Sanders tweeted Tuesday night in a rare walkback from a Trump administration official.

"I haven´t been in every single room", she said.

Omarosa Manigault Newman made the explosive claim in a forthcoming book and later told NBC's "Meet the Press" that she heard the tape of him using the slur.

He tweeted that he had received a call from the producer of The Apprentice, assuring him "there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a awful and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa".

'Blood moon' to appear for 21st Century's longest lunar eclipse
When this happens, the moon turns rusty orange or deep reed in color and is how it earned the nickname of a blood moon eclipse. The total lunar eclipse begins at 19:30 UTC and ends at 21:13 UTC followed by another partial eclipse that ends at 22:19 UTC.

The White House immediately rejected Manigault Newman's allegations.

He said Manigault Newman had called him "a true Champion of Civil Rights" - until she was sacked.

Manigault Newman embarked in recent days on a publicity tour to promote her newly released book, "Unhinged", in which she reveals private conversations during her time on the campaign and in the White House.

"I can't guarantee anything", she said. "Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations", she said. Keep in mind the wedding in question occurred in 2005, at a time when nobody present could have quite imagined the course Trump's career was going to take.

Manigault Newman has suggested that Trump has been recorded using racial slurs - something Trump denies.

'Donald went back to Pecker and negotiated a deal for me. And Trump's campaign said that in the 2016 race she "signed the exact same NDA that everyone else on the campaign signed, which is still enforceable". "White House", he said. "I don't love you leaving at all".

Several commenters said the statement was both sexist and racist, and called for Twitter users to report it for targeted abuse. "She won't backstab-she'll come at you from the front".
