Louis C.K. performs after admitting sexual misconduct

Though C.K. has been known to mine his personal life for material, he did not, apparently, mention last year's sexual misconduct allegations, instead sticking to what the Times described as his typical fodder: "racism, waitresses' tips, parades". Dworman said he received a call from one customer who wished he was warned before C.K. got on stage.

In October past year, Comedians Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov alleged that Louis C.K. invited them back to his hotel room and then asked if he could take his penis out. CK's return to the stage will be seen as an early test of whether audiences are willing to forgive him for his misdeeds.

Another comedian, Rebecca Corry, said that in 2005 she appeared on a television pilot with Louis C.K., when he asked her if he could masturbate in front of her.

The women claimed the comedian either masturbated in front of them or asked permission to do so.

"It sounded just like he was trying to work out some new material, nearly like any time of the last 10 years he would come in at the beginning of a new act", he said to the New York Times.

Ariana Grande Explains How "Pete Davidson" Song Was Created
Variety reports that Ariana initially said no to the request from the show's producers as she was too emotional to sing, due to Aretha being one of her heroes.

"Louis CK being "banished" from stand-up comedy wasn't some kind of petty punishment, it was a workplace safety issue", tweeted Portland-based comedian Bris Farley. The forces motivating thematically and stylistically dissimilar comics like Hannah Gadsby and, say, Dane Cook are not so different.

But Louis C.K. isn't receiving as much love from Twitter.

In his November statement, C.K. said that he was lucky to have a career that allowed him to say anything he wanted.

Is nine months away too long? "I believe people can grow and change, but this urgency to bring him (and others) back so soon just sends such a bad message".

In that Hollywood Reporter article, comedian Aida Rodriguez said: "If he uses the opportunity to address his shortcomings, maybe he can change a few minds among his fans and maybe he can save a couple of girls from unnecessary and unwanted incidents". His publicist, Lewis Kay, quit working for him, as well.
