Apple to kick off product blitz with iPhone Xs line, new watches

While potentially offering "some flexibility down to $800", Goldman wrote that is is unlikely Apple will "go for lower price points" given iPhone X demand was higher than expected over the recent months.

"All three of the iPhones will feature almost edge-to-edge designs with a notch that houses a TrueDepth Camera System, putting an end to the Touch ID Home button in Apple's flagship iPhone line-up". It brings some weight to the fact that Apple is committing to the iPhone X moniker for a significant time in the future.

Apple has not launched a cheaper version of its iPhone since 2013's iPhone 5C, which took the guts of the previous generation iPhone 5 and placed them in a coloured plastic body. The 6.1-inch iPhone would also have the edge-to-edge screen and Face ID, the face-detecting security feature that replaces a fingerprint sensor. Shortly after Apple's big event on Wednesday, Microsoft is expected to introduce new Surface hardware on the 2nd of October, followed by new Pixel hardware from Google on the 9th of October.

Still, I think it's unlikely that Apple wants to reinvent the wheel with the iPhone Xc, so I'd be surprised if the final model was substantially different to the photos above. And Italy tends to be among the first wave of countries to get the new iPhones when Apple unveils new devices. The leak does not reveal if the phone would be based on the iPhone X concept, therefore there is no confirmation on the screen notch.

In addition to Ming-Chi Kuo, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman is also ready with his summary for Apple's upcoming 2018 iPhone event.

Phoenix Suns forward Marquese Chriss , left, is guarded by Kings forward Skal Labissiere on December 12, 2017, in Sacramento. Melton played one season at the University of Southern California before entering the National Basketball Association .

One of the new 2018 iPhone models could have a rear-facing camera with a triple-lens array.

While the high-end smartphone market doesn't have much room for dramatic increases in sales volume - after all, the existing iPhone X is $999 - Apple can hold on to its market share and inch up the average selling price of iPhones, says Husson. The rumored gold finish for the OLED models and the brightly color cases for the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone aren't present on the site.

However, we're wondering if Apple will actually launch this device when it has other product to focus on, or save it for a separate event later in the year. Now, we are hearing that Apple will likely announce two iPad Pro models on Wednesday, including an all-new 11-inch tablet and a refreshed version of existing 12.9-inch variant.

Apple said at the time AirPower was "coming in 2018".
