Melania Trump opened her first big solo worldwide trip to Africa as United States first lady on Tuesday with a wave, a smile and a baby in her arms.

"This is a very special place", she said after touring the Cape Coast Castle.

The highlight of Wednesday's itinerary was the tour of Cape Coast Castle, a major outpost on the Atlantic slave trading route, where she also met members of the local Fante tribe. The palace is also home to "Obama Hall", dubbed such after a visit from then-President Barack Obama in 2009. Mr. Obama said it was a reminder of "the capacity of human beings to commit great evil". Mrs. Trump arrived at the castle after a two-and-a-half hour drive over bumpy roads from the capital, Accra.

Later, the two women paid a visit to a baby clinic at Ghana's Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

Rosenhaus also has stated that Brown is not actually looking for a trade. The Steelers may have another disgruntled star to deal with.

President Donald Trump reportedly used a vulgar and insulting term to describe African nations. It's hard to forget, mostly because of that less-than-subtle message scrawled across the back: "I really don't care do u?"

But for Melania Trump, "you wouldn't know about it unless you were following the news", he said.

Before proceeding to the slave castle, she visited the palace of the head chief of the area and obtained royal approval to visit the fortress after US officials presented a gift of drinks to the chiefs.

The first lady spent a few minutes meeting privately with her guide, Kwesi Essel-Blankson, and getting an introductory history of the castle before they emerged into an open area in 80-degree heat and humidity. She will also visit Malawi, Kenya and Egypt.

And a third tweeter called Mira said: 'Melania Trump on her solo trip. A USA official said the chief had invited two disabled children from a nearby school to the ceremony with the first lady, a break from local tradition in which it had previously been considered taboo to have anyone with handicaps in the palace.

"Whether it is education, drug addiction, hunger, online safety or bullying, poverty or disease, it is too often children who are hit first, and hardest, across the globe", Melania said in a brief address to a group that included the spouses of foreign leaders last week in NY, when they were in town for the United Nations General Assembly.
