Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi Washington Post contributor, vanished on October 2 after entering the consulate to obtain official documents ahead of his marriage to his Turkish fiancé.

Turkish officials told The New York Times on Tuesday that Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post and a vocal critic of the Saudi government, was assassinated under orders from senior members of the Saudi royal court and killed by a team of people within two hours of stepping into the country's consulate in Istanbul last Tuesday to pick up a marriage document.

After three hours of waiting, Cengiz was told that Khashoggi had already left but she says "there's no proof that he came out".
