Donald Trump says being very tough in talks with Putin

China's ambassador to America says the Trump administration is 'very confusing'

Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman denied Kremlin involvement in assassinations and poisonings of Russian dissidents after President Donald Trump said that Putin was "probably" involved in directing them.

Fox News Monday morning did its usual propaganda pitch for President Trump, defending the lying leader's responses during his rare "60 Minutes" interview which aired Sunday night.

"I think China meddled also", Trump insisted in the interview.

Trump has rarely ever had harsh things to say about Putin and took a lot of criticism for his performance at a joint conference in Helsinki during which the American president had seemed to have granted equal weightage to United States intelligence's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 election and to the Russian president's denial of it.

When asked if he was ready to negotiate, Trump told CBS News: "I have a great chemistry with President Xi (Jinping) of China".

President Donald Trump has alleged China, in addition to Russian Federation, meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections.

And one of the reasons I was so proud of the result last Saturday on Judge Kavanaugh is that we stood up for two things. The video includes footage of former Attorney General Eric Holder saying , "When they go low, we kick them".

"Pillows and blankets", Colbert cited the president. "This is a bad thing", said the CBS interviewer.

President Trump had a contentious sit-down with CBS' Lesley Stahl, who assertively pressured him into answering the following question: "Do you agree that Vladimir Putin is involved in assassinations?" "They wouldn't be able to help me at all".

"I think all of these allegations about how China is developing are unfair to the Chinese people".

Asked what he has learned and what he was most surprised by since becoming President, Trump, who never held political office before entering the White House, bemoaned the political atmosphere in Washington. And we would be very upset and angry if that were the case. "I think so. I mean, I felt comfortable at the beginning, other than it was a little surreal to say I'm the president of the United States, but I think that's true with everybody ..." China has shot back with retaliatory tariffs, appearing to specifically target industries that have been supportive of the US president. "You know, we've gained USD11 trillion in worth". Trump refused to do so, telling her: "I don't pledge anything".

Last week, Michael Pence, the US' vice president, announced that China is putting propaganda adverts in USA newspapers. On July 13, US Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced charges against another 12 individuals who were said to be Russian intelligence officers. Later, Colbert asked to "go back to that lying thing again", saying, "Why do you think you get away with your unprecedented mountain of lies?"
