In trading for Thomas on Tuesday before the National Football League trade deadline, the Texans didn't give up a lot in the process with a 2019 fourth round pick going to Denver, along with the two teams exchanging seventh round selections too.

First reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Broncos traded Thomas and a 2019 seventh-round pick to the Texans in exchange for a fourth-round and seventh-round pick next year.

Sanders has been enjoying his second-best season as a Broncos player this year; with 606 yards and three touchdowns through eight games.

One of the primary reasons that Denver was willing to trade Thomas, who has been with the organization since being drafted in 2010, is because it opens the door for more playing time for Courtland Sutton.

The trade means that Thomas will face the Broncos in Denver on Sunday. Sutton was the 40th overall pick in this year's draft out of SMU, and was already drawing rave reviews in preseason.
